Lovely evening in Laguna

David, Taylor, and I went to Laguna for the evening. My favorite kind of nights are the unplanned, crazy ones- the ones where a million and one little things happen that come up later in future conversations. These are the experiences and times that I value the most.

We had The Lounge for dinner and ate it by the beach.

We visited our friends in the gelato shop and a very lovely surprise walked in.

 It was such a clear night and the views were simply breathtaking.

Then we went to top of the world and star gazed. 

I am so blessed to be young and to live where I do. I live a beautiful life and I must never forget that.

What's winter?

 Today Madeline and I went on a hike in Laguna with our coaches. The four of us get along beautifully so the entire hike was filled with laughs and good stories. The hike was breathtaking, but then again so is Laguna as a whole.

I love having people in my life that are separate from school.

It's nice having people who believe in your abilities and push you to do your best. These are those kinds of people.

And of course, I brought my Penny Board.

Solo PCH Cruising

I told my mom I was going to Laguna to do some homework at the Starbucks there. 

I did actually get some homework done, for about an hour.

I've had a lot on my mind so I just left and started driving South down PCH. Oh boy how I love PCH.

I blasted my favorite music. 

I was carefree. 

I pulled over somewhere near San Clemente and I played "Forever Young" on a loop. It hit me, and I mean reallllly hit me, that I am WAY too young to be so unhappy and stressed. I realize that sounds cliche, but it's so true. The world is so beautiful and there are so many things I have yet to encounter and experience. The truth is, people will always disappoint me and there will always be upsets in life. But life is a serious of ups and downs and that's the fun of it. If we didn't have our personal downs, then we would have nothing to compare the ups to. Life is about balance. I need balance in my life. I need to accept others flaws and more importantly I need to accept my own. I can't be perfect no matter how hard I try. The only thing I can control is how I react to what life throws at me and whether or not I make the best of every situation.

Ladies and Laguna

  

  Today I went to my favorite place ever, Laguna Beach. My best friend, Taylor, and and I met up with our old Editor-In-Chief. We ate sandwiches at The Pizza Lounge (BEST SANDWICH SHOP IN LAGUNA) and just talked. The weather was an impressive 72 degrees in January. Forever in love with Southern California.
